This Privacy Policy explains how ConnectingQR ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, PWA, Android application, QR-code services, messaging features, notifications, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

  • Name, mobile number, optional email, account role, and account status.
  • Password information in hashed form; plain-text passwords are not intentionally stored.
  • QR-code identifiers, content, target URLs, types, and timestamps.
  • Emergency contacts, messages, sender and recipient identifiers, timestamps, and emergency metadata.
  • IP address, browser, device, operating system, login, security, diagnostic, cookie, service-worker, and push-subscription information.
  • Advertising and usage information used by us or advertising providers, subject to applicable consent choices.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, send OTPs, operate QR codes, deliver messages and notifications, manage emergency contacts, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the service, display and measure advertisements, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.

3. Security

We use reasonable safeguards including HTTPS/TLS, password hashing, encryption of selected fields, hashed lookups, prepared statements, access controls, and security monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

4. Sharing

We may share information with hosting, database, backup, OTP, email, push-notification, analytics, and advertising providers; professional advisers; business successors; and law-enforcement, regulatory, judicial, or government authorities when required by applicable law, court order, lawful request, investigation, or safety need.

5. Retention

We retain information only as reasonably necessary or as required or permitted by law. Messages, chats, backups, security logs, and QR records may be retained for service operation, safety, dispute resolution, abuse investigation, backup, security, and legal compliance.

6. Account Deletion

Some chats, security logs, backups, abuse-prevention records, or legally required records may be retained for a limited period. Where chats are retained, we will, where reasonably possible, remove or anonymise account identifiers and restrict access.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, anonymisation, withdrawal of consent, restriction of processing, and available advertising choices. We may verify your identity before acting.

8. Cookies and Children
